Help in pricing a 77 with 3.2
Im very interested in a 77 911 with a 3.2 conversion. Its owner seems like a reputable and serious collector. He brought it as an AX car but has not used it enough and now wants to part with the car. He said it has been AX'd a couple of times. I think the market for hot rods (and cars in general) is down right now.
The car looks to be in great condition, has no rust at all and is a relatively rare color but not original paint. It has the air dam and front mounted cooler which I dont like and would want to move, it also has racing seats which I would want to swap for original. I know its a very sketchy description and will post more after I se the car, but any thoughts on what I should be paying for a hotrod like this.

you don't like the cooler and valance. You don't like the seats. What do you like about it? What are elements that you are looking for in your future 911?

the 77
Sorry yes I should have listed what i think is really strong about the car. I am looking for an impact bumper car which is a 77, and originally i was hoping to find a re built 2.7. I think the modern FI on the 3.2 means I get the body style I want with the more reliable and less troublesome engine. I live in the city so I want a car which is reliable and can be driven but also has some spirit for longer trips on freeways and twisty roads
On this car Its a 77 Body, like i said I really like the narrow body impact bumpers combo It still has the mostly original look chrome window surrounds, fuchs interior etc It has the 3.2 mated to the original 77 911S re built gearbox, which from what I have read is a good combination. The engine work was done at a reputable shop There is no rust on the car What I would want to change is the front air dam for a stock impact bumper look Swap the racing seats for original and to change the look of the Fuchs back to their original black / alloy look

Sounds like a nice car. I would expect to pay $12-15K for it.
