For sale by owner if you want to make the amount of money you deserve, but you'll probably have to deal with multiple people coming to take a look at your car, which takes time. However, you may get lucky- the first person to see your car, may buy it. Dealerships will take money right off the top, but they'll do the work of showing it for you. Depends what works best for you.
Good luck!

GT:

- Sell it yourself here.
- You can post info about the car here on the marketplace discussion forum and solicit advice on pricing and presentation of your ad from the other Porsche enthusiasts on this board.
- Sell it on Rennlist.com website (will need to be a paying member to do so there).
- Sell it on PCA.org website (also, need to be a paying member).

I would avoid eBay, trade-in, or selling it to a dealership, as you'll probably not get that good a price.

I agree with Jim. Porsche guys at least should know about the car, so posting it on Porsche forums might help keep away the time-wasters and kids who want to pop the clutch at 6k rpm. I bought my 951 from a very nice guy who had been selling it privately for quite a while. The person who showed up before me didn't even know how to drive standard!

When I sold my 911, I was so glad the previous owner wanted it, as I hated the thought of a bunch of foolio test pilots showing up and revving her to 10k.

a scam that needs assistance, lol. That was my other name but I cannot remember the password.
I think Im going to use craigslist first because it free and park it out by the road. if I can do these free services I think Ill have a better chance getting the most bang for my buck.

Not sure about your area but I always post free ads on Autotrader, Craigslist and kijiji all at the same time and my cars always sold in no time....

You will need to "mentally prepare" yourself for the lowball offers that will come your way...

"Hey man saw your ad- I'll trade you for my 91 civic =$500 cash and a half a sandwich-get back to me asap!"

Do you have a local "cars & coffee" event in your area?

My brother found a buyer for his 84 Carrera at the event in Raleigh.
