Anyone know this car
Hello all, I am new to the Porsche world and this forum. I am excited to purchase a Porsche but after reading all the blogs it seems that one must do their diligent homework before purchasing so here I am.
Looking for a 930 with some modifications and I located one in the Atlanta area. Any information would be very helpful re: Has anyone purchased from Mr. Marzullo. A reputable company to get a PPI/Compression Leak test in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Does anybody know the Red 1986 Porsche 911/that is modified Sorry don't know how to get the pic/link on this blog yet. Thanks in advance, Carl |

i've bought two cars from marzullo
i've seen the red turbo i think you are referring to and it would be in my garage if it wasn't red.. i don't buy red cars all of his stuff is very nice. i have never seen any junk. imho, he's one of the few that understands that if you develop a bad rap selling junk it hurts you in the wrong run.... re reading the post looks like a bunch of kiss ass but i stand by it. u can pm me. |

This is a very nice car, well documented and cared for. My only concern would be it is hardly a "starter Porsche" Things can get out of control real quick in a 930 and in this car things will get out of control at warp speed in this 930.
Not saying not to buy it, Some lessons at road Alanta, would be worth the money with somone with seat time in a 930. ![]() |

I believe this is the car in question:
It is a gorgeous car, but I highly doubt that it is all original paint (sans hood). If you are okay with buying a heavily modded car, the paint would be my only concern. |

930
Carl, Make absolutely sure you get a prepurchase inspection (PPI) from a porsche expert on the car. Spending $300 to $500 to inspect any Porsche purchase, but especially a car like a 25 year old modded Turbo is absolutely essential. It's cheap insurance against ending up with potentially huge bills and enjoyng a great car. Ask on the board for good sources for a PPI in Atlanta if you move forward. Mark

First of all thank you all for the valuable information. This is a great site for a Porsche enthusiast.
My next step is a PPI/Compression leak down test with Franz Blam Racing as this company has good reviews on this site. |

I sold him an '88 turbo cabriolet last year- great guy- did everything he said he would do when he said he would do it- has the $ to fix anything that needs to be fixed - always has top shelf merchandise- wouldn't have a problem buying from him- HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
A PPI from Franz Blam will tell the tale. |

Franz Blam is the right place to take the car for an inspection.

Franz Blam Racing looked at the car and said it was a really nice car and very well maintained. After the testing was completed he said the car would be good purchase.
The Porsche is now on the way to its new home in the Vancouver BC area. |

Looks like a nice car. No way those mods take it to 500bhp. Its 282 from the factory and those mods will take it to the middle to low 300's which is a far far cry from 500. On the other hand you dont want 500bhp in that car unless you dont plan on keeping the motor for all that long.

Your right Trader220. 500HP requires digging into the engine - then reliability suffers a little. If I want 500 then I would look at a 2002 or newer. Looking at the mods I realized that this car will probably be enough HP and lots of fun for me.
Besides, the Ball and Chain starts to sweat at warp speed. |
