73 rs $506k ?
See below link --- LOT 111 a 73 RS Touring just sold for $506k.
That seemed a good price to me ... but I'm being told higher prices than that are being currently achieved ..... anyone aware of any other recent sales above this level ? RM Auctions Don Davis Collection - Auction Results |

I watch this market daily and rumor has it that there are RS'es trading hands privately for $650k+.
The entire early 911 world is clearly on fire....did you see that 74 (or 5) 911S sell for $55k at the same auction? No doubt early 911S will be $200k+ cars by the end of this year. Wait for the Hagerty price guide to publish the recent sale results...many use that as their pricing guide. |

Two sales early this year and late last year at $550K or so. These tend to trade quietly, so if you don't know someone involved, you will not see the numbers.
When I saw that RM result, my first question was: what's wrong with it?

I was third in line to buy one for US$56k in Switzerland in 2004 when I was living in nearby France... :/ Guess that one got away! It was complete to the last nut and bolt except hood badge, cardboard cover for the fuse panel and the ventilation box in front trunk...
Guess that one got away!
