Very early '65 911
Pretty rusty January built '65 911 is available.
Any opinions on value. This car is a matching # car. Major resto will be required. Thoughts and opinions anyone? |

Um, guys, you're missing "January built." That gives it a serial number in the 30023X to 3005XX range. IOW, one of the first 500 or so 911s ever built. Rusty examples needing restoration have been offered in the $75-100K range. The first 232 (or so) cars were built in calendar '64 and are worth $300K and up -- way up. There's a January '65-built 911 on eBay now with a reserve of $130K and it needs full restoration.
Color -- believe it or not -- will be a big part of the pricing equation. So I'm gonna throw out a wild-assed guess that the car is worth $90-120K as it sits.
