Well, get it now. A G50 for $25k?

And not in red, white, black or silver? Buy it now, folks.

It's Baltic Blue so if anything, it's grossly underpriced.

Also, I wish the seller would post better photographs showing what a beautiful dynamic color it is.

Dammit, every time you post a pic of your car, I get seller's remorse all over again!

But you're spot on in terms of the bad pics. The car doesn't even look like Baltic in the ones he's posted. $25k does seem optimistic.

Good
Last year Carrera

Coupe

Great Color.

Bad
Higher Miles

questions
Seller claims maintenance was done. Need to confirm exactly what was done, and what wasn't.

Hard to judge with so little info in the add, but it looks to be a reasonable price to me.

I thought of you when if saw that ad. Have you found a Porsche to replace it yet?

I think 25 is a good starting point. Not many 89s coupes coming up for sale anymore, especially in mostly stock condition.

I didn't say the car wasn't nice... I just feel that 993's are easily twice the carrera's in style, function, performance, etc... I laugh at this current craze in prices as I also have an 87 coupe with ice cold AC. Face it, it will be sold quickly to someone purely buying it to flip down the road. Yes, it's a great color - it probably will be gone by the weekend.

993s have seen a similar jump in price. I remember when high 20s bought a well sorted narrow body coupe. Now that same car sells for mid 30s or higher.

I sold my 993 C2S for 35k in 2011. It had 112k miles but had a rebuild top end. I can't imagine what it would sell for today.

Prices do seem to be rising week over week, I just started my search for my first Porsche. I started around Thanksgiving. And maybe its my imagination but prices seem to have risen in 2 months that ive been looking. I read blogs saying that 911 sc are still reasonable in the mid to high teens. I cant find one less then 20k .. And 993 seem to be @40K on the low end

Prices are stupid high on these cars. This smells like a flipper stumbled on to something good.

Historically, "Porsche guys" stay away from 911s with 160K or more miles. But of course, as time goes on, that's not always possible to avoid. The 3.2 for sale elsewhere with 300K miles and rust is going to be a hard sell at anything over $12K.

I am in the same bucket, started looking 3 months ago and 3.2 have gone through the roof. High mileage cars going for more than 30k. I don't understand how the flippers have access to these cars, where can I find them at 20k?

Blame the FED for QE 1,2,3,4,5.... Blame the ECB for the same. The markets not going to have the kind of year it had last couple, thats over for now.

In the end it was unavoidable that this iconic car would eventually become the hot car and prices would adjust accordingly.

Then again ask the guys who had to pay a million bucks for that hemi cude convertible or something like that how they feel about the market in those cars now. Ouch.

PS GoldmaN only has one N. Lets not give them any more than they already have.

Prices here are a bargain compared to Australia.

All the knee-jerk theories about general economics ignore that the presumed 'tide' has not raised all the cars. Air cooled 911s are in a raging bubble. Alternative cars, not so much.

It must be a premium for the gravity to keep them planted on the tarmac while driving upside down.
