Valuation help pls. 69 912 coupe survivor car. look at the color

What's a totally original numbers matching 69 912 coupe worth? Paint chips, no rust, engine freshened recently but showing 50k on odometer. What's it worth?

Very nice car. You certainly don't see many 912's that have been so well loved thru the years. It certainly hasn't spent much time in the sun as evidenced by no shrinkage in the rubber inserts or fading of the lights. When you mention "engine freshening" do you mean a full tear down or an oil change? Lots of latitude between those two extremes.

In todays market, based on recent auction results, the car could easily be above $50k. I'm assuming no rust and with a few minor detail corrections. Is there a COA with the car to confirm originality? What is the paint code? That color is definitely a plus with buyers today.

Are you looking to sell or purchase?

The car is an estate asset and my buddy wants to share ownership so we are trying to determine value for the atty. won't give any info about other sealed bids so if we want it we may need to step up a bit. Engine has been thru full rebuild. Car drives like new. Check out the dash timer.

That color is spectacular. I agree at least $50k but how much more I wouldn't hazard to guess. The market has out paced my attention span.

$50-55K is a good number for figuring value for shared ownership.

It's easy to imagine a scenario at a high end auction, where with 2 determined bidders, that car could set a record for LWB 912s if it is mostly original paint.

The big sales are typically not done in public, but I've heard mid-$70K range. I believe an SWB 912 recently sold at auction in the low $80s.

A few months back a '65 that had been part of an article was listed in Classic 911&Porsche in the UK for $105k. No idea if it sold. It was a perfect car.

Seller has coa and that box inside the boot is all the history and receipts since new. We are gonna go back over and give a better look. What should the depth of paint be on an original paint car?

912s can be tricky to pin a value on. I have not seen many at auctions lately, and the ones that I have seen have been all over the place. this one is obviously one of the nicer ones, if everything checks out on it I can see it being a $60k + car.

There's only one sticker on the rear lid area. Repaint ? Still a beautiful color.

There was the twin to that car locally, 20 years ago. A friend of a friend bought it for $4800 and did a cheap slantnose conversion and painted it red. Car is still around.

paint should probably be around 3-4 mils. My 914 is 2-2.8 all over, my 67 912 is low 3's on the couple parts that haven't been painted, around 5-6 mils on the parts that have been scuffed and painted over the original paint.
