That car has got a mileage premium. It's in like new condition. Can't use it to gauge anything but the very top of the market. And even then I suspect they are guessing and reaching. Only way we will likely know how close they get to that is how quickly it sells.

I think a 8K mile example went at auction for $200K recently.

Is it my imagination, or does the driver's outboard seat bolster show abnormal wear for that kind of mileage? The rest of the interior looks like it has never been touched, but that seat looks worse than the one in my car.

Maybe it has been sitting in a dealer as a display and thousands of people have gotten in & out of it. It looks legit to 7k except that bolster. This one on ebay has claimed 1008 miles, and they are asking 398,888(!).

An absolute waste of a car in both cases. Sad that some cars end up getting treated like stamps and tucked away to be looked at on occasion. What is the point?
Jealous? Maybe a little, but I would never let a car sit like that. My cars would be driven and enjoyed. If you have that kind of scratch, what does it matter? Can't take a 7,000 mile 993 Turbo with you when you go, and your estate is likely going to auction the collection off when you are gone....... |

Saw that car today on Rusnak's showroom. Reduced to $359k. Price of an entry level home in my SoCal area. These dealers crack me up. No thanks-Give me a Singer or 993RS. |
