Another what is it worth thread if anyone can stand it

Sorry to do this again I know it has been done here a million times but here it goes. A guy was driving by my house my car was outside and as usual he stopped and asked the question do you want to sell that? I said make an offer and he did $70K
Now the question 1986 930 70,000 Miles White over Burgandy car is in very good condition mostly original paint runs perfect interior is perfect some mods, B&B headers with heat and B&B 2 out exhaust B&B intercooler K27 turbo WEVO shifter cold air intake all smog stuff removed But I do have all of the original parts for the car including the radio.
I can't help but think it is worth more I know the $100K plus ones on ebay hardly ever sell but what do you guys think?
I included a pic the car currently has the color keyed Fuchs on it and that is how I would sell it. Thanks for any input

Good rule of thumb, if the guy driving around trying to buy cars out of people's garages makes you an offer, you car is worth more.

This perfectly modified 86 just sold for $96k a few weeks ago. I would guess yours would sell for about the same. Modified turbo cars do not bring a premium on resale.
But if its a long hood that resembles a Singer car... lookout!

So like Adam said "it's worth more". The guy is looking to make a quick 20%-30% off your car.

do you want to sell? You never said that you did, and that car will only go up in value

$80k would be a fair offer. $70k seems low. You can get more if you turn it back to stock of course.

Don't get sucked into this. There are guys that spend all day driving around neighborhoods looking for old cars to buy. About a year ago I had a guy try to buy my '75 Targa as it sat in my driveway 1/2 apart as I was getting it ready for paint. I told him it wasn't for sale but he was aggressive and kept pushing me for a number. I told him $60K would buy it so he backed off. Then we started chatting about his business. He then bragged about how he's bought a bunch of old cars for super cheap and it's a good business because most people don't know what their cars are worth. For example, he bought a nice driver 912 for $15K and flipped it for $18K the next day to his buddy "in the business" who I assume sold it for quite a bit more. It sounded like a $25-$30K car by his description.

Now that guy knows where an $80K car lives. I'd lock her up tight if I were you.

90% of those guys who drive around call BHCC, that's their "guy". I know because a lot of them call me once, and when I won't wire them money over a phone call and a cell phone pic they stop calling me.
Luckily they aren't around here, but I live in a small town. Every once in awhile one of those guys stops by the shop and says, "I got a guy who will buy everything here." I politely explain that I sell at full retail and there is nothing for you here.

I don't usually keep the car here so really not worried about it. But you are right about that.

Thanks for the replies I go back and forth between selling and not selling I have only put about 1000 miles on it in the last 3 years so sometimes I hate to see it just sit there but I do enjoy looking at it almost as much as driving it.
