Slightly Damaged 1999 R11S - $4,000
The motorcycle has 17k miles, ABS, heated grips, system cases, Staintune exhaust, black Bagster tank wrap w/ map pouch, BMW tank bag, and Throttlemeister, BMW carbon fiber engine guard, and it's 18k service was performed in November. It was recently tipped over in my building's garage and has some damage to the left side. Damaged parts are the hand protector, cylinder guard, cylinder, fairing bracket, front fender, and some scuffs on the left system case cover. Additionally, in November the engine began making a ticking noise after the engine is warm and while riding, which my mechanic at Chicago BMW has not been able to pinpoint. Before that, the bike was running perfectly, and I've put about 500 miles on the bike since then with no issues. You can hear the ticking when the bike is idling but not while riding. I'm only selling the bike because I simply can't afford to have a mechanic take the engine apart to figure out the issue. Feel free to email with any questions. (muzach@gmail.com)
[IMG] [/IMG]Per the comment below, the cam tensioner was replaced a few months ago. I have more pictures available upon email request. As I'm in a bit of a cash crunch, I'm now asking only $4,000. Last edited by ZacharyMay; 05-17-2006 at 08:38 PM.. |

I bet your ticking is the cam chain tensioner on the left side. Search the technical forum for this. For less than $100, you can easily fix it yourself, if so inclined...
