WTB Seat Cowl
Hi Folks, I'm new to your Forum. I just picked up a 1999 r1100s the other day and love it. I used to have a Yamaha VMAX and finally made the right choice for the upgrade. The VMAX was an awesome powerful bike and you really felt the power shifting up the gears. At first I didn't think my Beamer had the same 'balls' until I looked down at the speedo and saw how fast I was going. Anyhow, great to have it.
For my question, does anyone have a black rear seat cowl they no longer want? Thanks guys and gals, talk to ya, Al

No cowl for you, but looking at the picture it looks like you have an aftermarket saddle (Sargent?) Make sure you get the proper screws to hold the cowl down. I know the Corbin uses non-bmw ones..

Rapid, the little /// logo is common on the Sargent. The screw area looks like it has some support to hold the material down, whereas the corbin (atleast mine) the material isnt held down without the screw/cowl.

close but ... banana?
...I'm hip Vetter, and you're right about the design, however...Sargent didn't invent the M3 colors, Corbin had it as an option way back in the day....but you might be right,
It just looks kinda basket-weavy like the Corbin, but then again doesn't look as wide...what's throwing me off is the cowl screw retainers....neither C or S uses them. Tell tale sign is the M3 colors are on the side of the S but normal at the crotch area on a C... I present evidence for your learning tadpole... Sargent Corbin... ![]()

Sargent
Hey Folks,
It's definitely a Sergeant seat. What type of screws do you guys suggest I use for this seat? Thanks Here's another angle.

If Beemerboneyard doesn't have your seat cowl, call Chicago BMW or go to their website http://www.chicagobmwmotorcycle.com/ . I got an unpainted one from them at 20% off which is what they sell all their parts for. Great people to work with also. I've got a blue from from a BCR I could let go cheap but it needs some filling to be repainted to your color. A little road rash problem that's been cured with the right amount of money and medicine (whiskey).

By the way. Here's where you can find your parts numbers. http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/fiche.asp
Good luck. Bob

Hey everyone,
I've decided to send my cowl to body shop for repair. It'll only cost me $25 for the repair. Thanks again everyone.
