I am rebuilding a pair of 40 IDA 3C carburetors. What adhesive is normally used on the gaskets ---- hardening, non-hardening? Wayne's 101 Projects book does not cover this.

It's time to rebuild my 1967 911 2.0L engine again. This time I think I'd like to install steel valve seats in the heads so I can use unleaded gasoline without mixing in additives every time I fill...
