The slave cylinder is out. Thankfully, one only has to remove the top shock bolt and tilt it back. In my case the Laser exhaust interfered with the bottom bolt and would have required removal.

+1 on Lindemann. He did the front and rear for my 2000 R1100S while the bike was apart for a new Paralever bearing. This was after about 50K original miles.

Yeah, the higher cost was due to the one-time work to drill and tap. After that it's the normal service charge, whatever that is.

They definitely can be disassembled with out doing something destructive. LE drills and taps for schrader-type valve so they can be recharged.
