UAE is really stacking up the stage wins this year and their GC man is only down 46 seconds on Jonas...

Almeida looks strong. But he can’t drop Vingegaard, and since Vingegaard came around Almeida for the win - oops, for 2nd place, I forgot Soler won it - today he probably isn’t barely hanging on. Too bad Ayuso is off chasing stage wins instead of supporting Almeida. Oh sure, he’ll pull for half a km then drop to the grupetto, “totally spent”. Hate that guy. And was he pulling his future team today!?

UAE has the strongest team, they are breaking Jorgensen and Kuss is dropping earlier, but they haven’t marshaled their forces well for GC. Seven stage wins, okay, but stage wins are for teams too weak (or never intending) to fight for GC. At the end of the season, when the Grand Tour score is 2 Visma 1 UAE, are those stage wins going to make it all better? Remember their stupid DS decisions already let the Giro slip from UAE to Visma.

That was UAE's 80th stage win of the season Not sure what the record is but that's impressive. But yeah, are stage wins ever remembered? Not often.

Mads for the win. I was rooting the whole time; he deserved it, he earned it.

What a huge gap the break away managed to get on the peloton.

He's definitely been waking up each morning ready to take on the challenge. It's been fun to see.
