My car is 90% track use, so I'm looking for a better solution.
Craig, let me know when you put the IC up for sale. |

I just purchased the Blown 6 930 Full Width Race Application Intercooler for my 1987 930. It seems to require substantial fab work. Has anyone installed one? Can you please post some pictures of the throttle body to intercooler plumbing?
Thanks a million

It what way 'does it need fab work'?
The 965 IC I bought fit perfectly......although it didn't clear the lid due to the fact my particular car's engine drivetrain sits further back due to the G50 transmission. Without that, perfect fit. *930 Rocket - mine is for sale, includes every OEM part needed in the book*

Thanks,
Removed the air box, ordered a cone air cleaner, purchased a few elbows and will probably need to cut the deck lid. Almost ready for the track ![]() ![]() ![]()

looks like you have the EFI full wing intercooler... they make one for CIS cars that slide over the factory throttle body like the other aftermarket units. The one you have is designed to install on a car that is running a carrara manifold...
I would return it and get the CIS unit. |

His setup allows for lower placement of the intercooler, maybe this is why Nix has this one (?)

No, After over 3 months, I take what I get and try to make it work. I hope that someday I can drive my car again.
