LOL! That rates right up there with the BBs in the Miata engine...

Don't do that to your motorcycle seat, either.

The guy that did that needs some serious help.

Who in the heck would put Armour All on their tread? then wreck their car, and tell the world about it?

I love the first reply.

"You put armor all on the tread?"

Simple, but straight to the point. -- Curt

First, that is one of the dumbest and funniest things I've ever heard. He lacks the common sense to figure this out on his own and isn't even smart enough to read the warnings on the bottle. I really need to subscribe to some of these ricer boards in order to get some comedic relief.

Secondly, who are all these idiotic parents buying 35k cars for their teenagers. I'm guessing he's a teenager, not too many professional adults I know use phrases like "hella sweet".

Next he should try that stuff on the pedals, steering wheel. Be sure to spray down all the drive belts on the engine to help preserve them also. Be sure to get all surfaces of the belt, including the V. Protects them from weathering and gives them that deep, dark shine which is hella sweet!

It amazes me how some people can operate a vehicle without a brain... More votes for European licensing regulations and costs...

He had BF S03's on the car, which are a great rain tire,. and wanted to blame it on them.. Wanted his TREAD's to be shiney too? I wish I was at NTB when he showed up... I can only imagine the desk guy laughing him right out of the store...

Then again, musta been the horespower. seems like a e-ram, fuel enhancing magnet, power additive kind of guy, probabl has 300 hp in aftermarket accessories as well....

THe future leaders of America boys.... *sigh*

"I armor all'ed the sidewalls and thought since the tires were new I would put armor all over them so the whole tire would be jet fockin' black. It looked hella sweet. "

That is classic.

this happened to my wife and I in her AUTOMATIC Subaru Legacy...we had a free coupon for one of the numerous hand car wash places in Atlanta. We roll through, then the guy does the detailing that was part of the service...

We depart...exiting the driveway from the carwash, we head out into traffic (it wasn't gonna be close, but it was) I gas it, hear the tires light up (at least 3 of the four) and I almost spun it...in the dry.

If you've ever driven a subaru, you CAN'T spin them...I've tried at autocrosses...

We get to where we're going, I look at the tires all black and shiny, and they're shiny down in the grooves too.

upsetting to say the least...never went back there again.

Brand new tires in the rain, no traction control and a heavy foot = trouble.

Add ArmorAlled tires= total stupidity.

I feel sorry for his parents.

Armor-All for the sidewalls is OK, but I recommend Crisco for the tread surfaces. It goes on thick, looks hella sweet, and repels water like a champ!
