Exclamation Most likely R1200S pics

Hi all, these have been posted before except one if I'm correct. However, I've been surfing the web and these are the most likely R1200S pics if you believe what's been published in at least 6 motorcycle magazines. I've also found one 800 twin pic I didn't see before.

Anyway, just like to keep the discussion alive, according to my dealer we should see some factory news September time!

And the 800 twin:

They both has similar body works but different headlights. Why the old handlebar switch gear? I'm not sold yet and I definitely think the current S looks better.

These are all just poor photochops. Headlight lense off a K1200S, R11S mirrors, front fork and handlebars. Whatever. In any case I'm sure the real thing will look much better than any of these mediocre renderings. Course there is that R12ST thing... eewwwww.

Regardless if this is it or, and I don't think it is too bad, I bet it will be an awesome bike. I just returned from a five day ride through Belgium and Northern France on a R1200RT. What a difference versus the 1150RT I've spent time on. If BMW makes the same kind of improvements with the S as they have with other new models (And we know they will)... much more power, less weight, ESA, etc. an R1200S will be an awesome bike.

the only way I would even entertain purchasing anything resembling these photoshops would be a supercharged RwhateverS with like 125hp to the wheel sub 450lbs. Otherwise I will take my form and make it more HP functional with some highcompression pistons mated to long rods and bored out to my my own 112-115 hp with a pretty bike and if anythings left in the budget on goes the light wheels.

and one of those cut and paste pictures is of the naked R1200GS HP2 frame,......what does that have to do with the RwhateverS specifically??

Can't wait! I am already on for a first week in November purchase. That is the word I have now. Although its a 06 unit we will have them by late October early November if all goes as planned. Does it have the "pro link" suspension like the K12S? I sure hope so. RWHP for the new R12S bike is 108 in stock form. Rip the mountains........... Twins forever...........

I think the evolutionary-R1100S look is the way to go.Look at the Ducati 916-999 transformation and no one really warming up to it...
It will most likely a great bike the R1200ST being already such a hoot to ride...
My only hopes are that bags and a real passenger seat are options and solid black or silver are available instead of some jap squid boy two tone perrot "race" colors...
Look forward to it too, otherwise the ST will do (that is available with ESA and hopefully solid black or silver by then, too)

Not alot of good detail there unfortunately and what is there doesnt match anything currently out from BMW from the mirrors to the wheels. Only detail that looks somewhat familiar is the gas cap under the right side of the seat like that of the F650GS

From an earlier spypic post:

Looks like the same bike as before. It also looks like the fairing is covering the real bike underneath. Might turn out to be a nifty bike...

I will seriously boycott BMW if they release the R1200S looking like that.

…I don’t believe the new R 1200 S comes as shown. Much to “round”. All new Beamers came with sharp angles (1200 RT, 1200 GS, K1200R, K1200S).

…so, we shall see…

Are you referring to the blue bike? Those look like a ST back wheel/K12S front wheel and the front calliper mount looks like BMW as well. Also, there really aren't any other manufacturers that put the belt drive on the right side.

Not true. Harley Sportster drive belts are on the right side. All other Harley belts are on the left.

Not that it applies to these bikes.

Yep, and the Bonnie has right side as well, but neither of those bikes have a single sided swignarm.
