CIS idle rising w/eng temp???

ive been dealing with a vacuum advance issue for about a week. the vacuum can for my car, 81SC is not available, so i go to pick ur part, which is cis heaven btw, lots of great parts. i get a few different vacuum advance cans off some mercedes benzes. they fit but some of them the advance comes on too quick. anyway i get one thats working great but my idle keeps going up. get home put a length of hose on the can, the retard, and it doesnt hold vacuum when hot!!! ahha. the retard starts slipping and u have ur high idle. tadda!

retard line

jason, why dont yu just plug the retard line from the throttle body and re adjust your idle and timing, the retard was added for emmision purposes and just makes your car run hot at idle, it wont hurt anything and will make your car a little cooler and engine last a little longer.
