need a paint code quick, please.

1973 911, what is the paint code for blood orange? possibly a 6809-?-? number. TIA.

...many thanks to John

I was frustrated that the paint code for "blood orange" was coming up as a close match to tangerine in certain years. I tried my local Porsche dealer...what a waste of time, then tried Stoddard...second waste of time, and then tried Porsche N.America...third waste of time. I called John out of the blue and asked him. Since I can't access the board from work, he kindly offered to post the question for me...and you guys answered the question for me...thank you John Walker, thank you board. I drove up to the painter today to check on the 76 targa with another p-head today....wow. That is orange! It is going to be a wild looking track car. I know, I know...it's a targa, what was I thinking...well, it's going to be a very rigid targa. I'll post before and after pics. Thanks again.

DAMN! That car deserves a second showing!

Aside from Guards REd, that Orange has to be my favorite color for the 911. Looks awesome!!!

It does look like Signal Orange, but digital photos can shade colors quite a bit. I love Gulf Orange, mostly because it is so uncommon.
