My New (to me) 1980 SC

This is my first Porsche and as promised in another post, here are pics

I have had it for less than 72 hours, i have some cosmetic work to get it looking the way i want but i feel i got a steal for 11k, 1980 911 SC with less than 70k. The motor has also been rebuilt and it came with all receipts and service records.

Comments welcome!

Thanks,

Mark

Enjoy!!

How long did you want one? How many did you look at before picking this one? What kind of junk did you see before you saw this one?

I remember bringing home my SC!

I've wanted one since i was 8. My uncle had a red 1974 Targa, which he still has. I used to dream of owning one. Now I am 20, I work a full time job and go to school full time at the University of Arizona. I graduate with a bachelors degree in MIS this May. So in May, I will finish a 4 year degree in 3 years while working full time 2 of the years and having a Fiance. The Porsche was a little gift to myself for all the hard work.

Wow. Strong work! You deserve it. Good thing you got it *before* getting married. In another yr, that $11K would've gone towards a diamond and dining set.

Enjoy!!

Another Targa! Welcome.

I noticed it has a "dash toupee." If one of the cosmetic issues is a cracked dash, Jason Cullen on this BBS sells reconditioned dashes at what seems to be a fair price.

I would think you did very well, welcome to the SC club. I love 911's in any color, white is a great one though and I'd love to own a Targa someday.

Gratuitous Pics of my SC's

Couldn't agree more - man, your white targa is beautiful! And I just thought I didn't want a targa. Very, very nice!
