MY FUTURE 911 KILLER ;-) by Valkyrie Racing

Well, this project won't be as intense as Bader Racing's Karmann Ghia, but it will essentially appeal to the same ideal and likely outperform my '73. Have a look at some photos guys. I am glad to be a benefactor of this forum and would love it if you all would give me some positive criticism about the project. More pictures to follow soon! The Motor is a 2.4 Ltr. 1973 "S" Hybrid with a 915 Transmission . Estimate 200HP + at Rear Wheels. Their shop has Reached and Exceeded this HP in Similar Motors. I am also adding a picture of a 906 that they have at their shop.

With all the fabrication work you are doing did you ever consider going mid engine with it?

the 906 is a customer's car. I know that they're building a new rollcage so that the seatbelts are no longer coming up from the floor along with some ordinary maintenance. The car is a death trap.

The Ghia is okay but the 906 is much more interesting.

You see? You never should have included those pics of the 906.

I for one am very interested in the Ghia conversion. There was a fellow on here some time ago who was putting a 2.4 into a VW type III, but he sort of disappeared. Maybe he got fed up...

Would be very interested in seeing more, but please, bring your real camera...

I Love ghia's. Its a great Idea, I like the other idea of mid engine also,
Can you imagine a 3.8L mid engine ghia. Man that would rock.
Anything you do will be great, Love the ghia body

Thank you all for the kind words and support for this unibody masterpiece. The more work that is being done on it, the more that we notice what a masterpiece the Ghia actually is! It's a really outstanding vehicle but sadly I'm never pleased...

Renegade projects are great. Big motors shoehorned in an unexpected ride are way cool. - Have seen a couple of VW micro buses with 911 motors hauling-az. Enjoy seeing your progress.

Just so you all know, these pictures display a simple mockup using a bare early 911 case and a 915 case less the internals for fitment. The basic part is to get the alignment on the CVs with the new suspension. I have a cherry of an engine and transmission to put in.

Porsche Crest

Here's a few photos of that 906.

Photos are circa 2005 (I think). I think the roll bar has been since modified.

Not to be rude, but why not start a thread on the 906 elsewhere so we can hear about the Ghia in this one?
