Little help please.....

New member here....drinks on me....

I just picked up an 82 911 SC...schweet.....I pretty mechanical but this has me stumped. There were no turn signal or hazard relays in the car. I ordered my parts from Pelican and installed them. The turn signals now light up but do not blink!!! Whays happening here??? Thanks.......

Bad flasher module?

Post pictures of your car. It is mandatory!

Welcome, and congratulations.

Possible you have a bad relay - even though it is a new one. Also - is it a 3 piun or a 4 pin relay? If it is a 3 pin, try a 4, if it is a 4, try a 3 pin.

Another possibility is you ahve a faulty turn signal switch.

Look for incorrect (single filament bulb in a two filament socket- two filament socket has two contacts in the bottom) or improperly installed bulbs in the turn signal housings. Jim

I just replaced my turn signal flasher w/ a new one and it acted exactly like yours is. When I returned this I noted to the parts guy that my old
flasher was a Hella and that when opening it up it had a visible set of points in it, while the new unit was smaller and it appeared to not have a mechanical set of points in it. The new flasher was the right part number and it had the same markings on the 4 terminal spade connectors. Well he exchanged the unit for a Hella brand unit that he had on the shelf and bingo my signals and hazards work properly now!
I did not take the new Hella apart to see if it looked different.
Don't know if first new unit was bad, but it was obviously different inside.

My car is a 79 SC

OK....I went out and got a couple thermal flashers, made some jumpers and started poking around....I am very happy to report my interior lights flash on and off brilliantly now.......

I'm going back out there, watch my back......
