Jade green 74

Thinking about bidding on this car. I know most of the issues with 74 2.7's (but not all, for sure!). I like the color because it is original and will not be ignored (love it or hate it). I'm not looking for a concours car, and not concerned with originality. Just a toy for fun and autocross. Any ideas on value and issues would be greatly appreciated! Car is on eBay right now.

I think that is an interesting color but to be honest it doesn't have the same appeal as some of the other early 911 colors that I have seen. I say this after looking at a 1974 Jade Green 911 about a year ago. I was sold on the uniqueness until I saw the car in person.....It's pretty shocking. That being said, if it were all original and Jade Green I think it would be worth quite a bit more then how it is currently set up. Also, there are some details like no engine pad that would concern me about his priorities when building the car.

Don't get me wrong, the Jade Green porsche I looked at was driven by the same lady for 30 years and she never got tired of it. I just think that you'll have a hard time getting your money out of the car if you decide to sell it....Never mind if something goes wrong.

It's currently at $9500....... Too rich for my blood

Thanks guys! I agree 9500 is high for the car. I plan to keep looking. I used to have a long nose (71 911E w/S front suspension and Webers). I'd love to have that car now, but kids forced the sale. I'm thinking 87 -89 Carrera coupe if I can find the right one.
