How much do we appreciate Grady Clay ?
Hands down this man has greatly improved this already great forum. I have never known anyone to be so helpful to strangers. This guy answers every question with full content. Lets keep our fingers crossed that he doest fall victim to carpal tunnel syndrome from all that typing. Funny thing is I come here to learn. He`s here to teach.
I just had to say something. Kurt Williams

Yep,
Grady Clay (and many others) have been more than generous and gracious to me. Many thanks to Grady and the other experts (John Cramer, Jim Sims, etc...) for all of the help, it is greatly appreciated!

You can't mention Grady w/o mentioning Early_S_Man, Warrren. Same goes for him and many others. But, these 2 guys are in a class by themselves if for no other reason, the vast amount of info they have archived personally.
We owe them greatly. And, Kurt, that's a great compliment that you give coming from the knowledgeable professional mechanic that you are. |

I just moved out of Colorado, one of my biggest regrets is that I didn't get the chance to meet Grady. His post are not only full of Porsche knowledge, but also full of life lessons. Grady gives his time (offline and online), offers his friendship in a moment, and as far as I have seen never asks for anything in return. At 28 I hope to not only be able to learn 911's like Grady, but to live a life that emulates his.
There are certainly others like him on here, but Grady is the one I have had the most contact with. I'm sure as my project moves forward I'll abuse you too! Thanks to Grady and all the other big guys on this board, but also thanks to everyone else for asking the stupid questions and guiding me to the search button! Really the great thing about pelican is that it seems like everyone from the royalty to the peasants wants to be able to help.

A true asset to all of us (including others mentioned). My sincere thanks as a DIY guy.... Phil

Grady is great - and he is working to pass on as much of knowledge as possible to younger generations.

To Grady and the other knowledgeable old timers in the Porsche world, My hat is off to you. Without your vabuable knowledge and insight us newbie "idiots" wouldn't stand a chance in understanding these machines.
I guess what I am saying is thank you! Roman in LA 78 Targa |

I live in the Denver area and I have the honor to call (or consider) Grady a personal friend. In the short span of our friendship, he has unselfishly helped my several times with my PCA racecar challenges. This past Friday, I called upon him on an issue where I needed a second opinion (cracked exhaust valve guide) and he gave me enough assurance that I needed to allay my fears. He is truly is an irreplaceable resource to the Porsche DIY community. I know he thinks the world of you guys (Pelican family) as well.

Another boring echo:
Grady shows real empathy for folks with Porsche issues -- even if he's never met or spoken with 'em before. A true gentleman.

I agree with Ianc about his list of veterans. I feel honored they give us their time and invaluable advise on this board. They are such great guys !!!
I think the rest of you should collectively be honored too for creating an online atmosphere where even newbies are respected and their contributions are appreciated. Actually everybody feels free to contribute as they can and do, and that is a real tribute to the board in general.
