Its weird looking, kind of not "porsche" looking, pair of white wires isn't typical "porsche", only thing I can think of with a single connection about that size and shape is the wire from the antenna to the back of the radio.
I wouldn't just test if I am right, check first and be sure.

On earlier than around '86 or '87, this is the oxygen sensor connector. The O2 sensor heater connector should be around there too. It is a two wire connector with green and white wires.

Mine is an 84........seem to be running great when I brought it home. Considering the warn plugs/cap/rotor I just changed out. I have not been under the car yet but I am going in the right direction.
My radio is getting good reception for my crappy area so I think the radio is ok? Maybe Brian |

Yes I traced it to the O2 sensor.....what would it serve to have it disconnected could there be trouble I am not aware of ? I have reconnected it but have not been able to drive it since I am waiting on my heater valve to come in.
Got any opinions? Brian |

When the O2 sensor is disconnected, the engine will usually run a little richer at part throttle. WOT won't make any difference. There could be another problem that disconnecting the O2 sensor covered up. It also could be as simple as the PO thought the engine would have more power with the O2 disconnected. If it stumbles or hesitates with the O2 connected, then fix the underlying problem. It's likely a vacuum leak.

That sounds good to me...........I can't imagine it being unplugged but I put it back together. It was running very well when I purchased it and brought it home. I was just searching for the Cig. Lighter fuse and found it. I will let you all know how it does later this week. I don't want to put it all back together until my heater valve gets here (wouldn't hold vacc.)
When I changed the plugs they were not black or burnt. I may have it running really nice when I get it out. Thanks Brian |
