I go to a Militaria auction every 6 months or so. My German friend who was a little boy during the war showed me an interesting gun. It was a Mauser action single shot rifle, that just looked like a scaled up ordinary rifle from that area. It was actually an anti tank rifle, and the shots went straight through the side and ruptured fuel tanks, split engine blocks etc. He said they were quite successful during the war as it was just one fella hiding in the bushes, then boom, out goes the tank.
