Two good friends of mine were HMX-1 pilots and flew George and Barbara Bush when he was President, often to Camp David.
They both are incredibly fond of the Bushes, especially Mrs. Bush. She was, they have related to me over beers, incredibly kind and personable. Lots of great stories of her reaching out and touching the lives of the HMX-1 folks when the cameras were off, when it matters most.
