Ive already JUST bought NEW striker plates and screws..

This was VERY costly as these are essentially $250 per side including screws..

My 930 is too nice and these old tired ones just let the whole car down..

I wish I could smack the mechanics hand that over tightened these!!

That seems to be a huge problem with air cooled porsches of this age.. By now almost all of them had some bonehead mechanic that has over torqued many of the parts.

I feel that just tight enough is best and the worst thing possible on a air cooled porche is to over torque a bolt or screw.
