So I had some business in Kingston and decided to get my wife to fly down and make a vacation out of it. She got sick at the last minute and couldn't make it. We had the travel insurance. So she goes to battle and gets nowhere.

She eventually got most of the fare back from the airline (American) on a voucher, but she went after the insurance company on principle. Two months later they coughed up the full fare - $820!

So now she has a voucher and the cash! So can she use the voucher (it's just a number and you book the ticket on-line). Or should we just count it as a win and be satisfied with the money?
