It would likely be reported as child abuse now, but my mom used to pack my lunch pail with a graham cracker sandwich. It was a graham cracker, a thick layer of chocolate icing, and topped by another graham cracker. That way it was not messy. She also put a sandwich of some sort in there, but the desert was the good part. That was in grade school. I don't remember my lunch pail but it was probably a Superman or Lone Ranger. It was thrown out during a move I am sure. Later I just had a brown paper bag. She would pack some carrots or an orange slices but those got traded or thrown away. I was pretty badly abused!
