Some friends and I bought an old coin operated slot car machine. It didn't work. The first the we found was the coin slot and tracks were full of Mercury head silver dimes. We did get the machine running it was great fun with the slot cars. We split up the dimes.

Had not put the dimes away a few days later, they were in a cup on my shelf over my desk. My Mom found them and used all but 3 to give change to a friend of her's that bought something from Mom. The friend spent all but one by the time Mom told her about the dimes. Last i checked they were worth $1.10 each.
