The 914 as I understand it was sold as a VW in Europe, but even as a VW it was always a bit awkward looking despite the brilliant platform underpinnings.
How much more does it cost to make a pretty looking car than an ugly duckling?
Did the Ford Edsel cost any less than it's contemporaries?
