It will not be that deep! The sewer is about 12 feet down. The electric comes in from a different area of the yard, and so does the AT&T phone line that we don't use. The Cable TV is very shallow, but I know where it is and it is in the north side of the back yard. Natural gas comes in over close to the electrical in the middle of the yard by the Koi pond. The city water comes into the house in the front yard.
I put in the sprinkler system so I know were those lines are. With 99 spray heads for the are they are everywhere but they are in a logical order and well placed.
On Monday when I came home I turned on the water and there was a big air bubble. It was like the water had been turned off at the meter. Sure enough the city had come through and replaced the meter while doing "routine maintenance" so it is new. At my old house I could not budge the water meter shut off. I even tried a cheater bar. I called and asked if they would replace it. They just said no. It was a weird thing, the glass cover for the dials to read the meter broke all of a sudden. They replaced the meter and it was much better.
