Thanks, I also have a 901 socket just like it.
For the 901 holding the main shaft I have an old slider welded to a bar, I want to do the same for the G50. I believe this will also work on the 996, etc transmissions, I'll find out when one comes across my bench for a pinion bearing (common issue).
Over the winter I've made a huge number of tools for m96/97 engine building, trans mount, etc. Plus bought a durametric pro and some other tools I can't make.
