I liked the look of a chin spoiler without a tail too... Car looks less "delicate" or something with it on. I think longhoods look better with the delicate look to me, while impact-bumpered cars look better suited to the "heavier" look you mentioned. Car was noticeably more stable at highway speeds- haven't been beyond that, so can't comment on stability at track speeds. More food for thought...
