There are several appellate issues in this case. Its not over by a long shot.

In the last thread someone asked about other women not testifying to similar acts but not a basis for the charges. The judge did not allow those in the first trial. I said in that thread that the exclusion of that testimony is correct under the rules of evidence b/c you cannot allow evidence of uncharged crimes in order to prove the defendant acted in similar fashion to commit the charged offense.

In this case the judge allowed that testimony. That will be revisited upon appeal. That was a poor decision by the judge and clearly influenced the trial. It will likely serve as a grounds for reversal.

I'm not underwriting Cosby's alleged conduct or him personally. Just providing insight into the process and what will occur from here.
