I think the jeeps are cool. I would never buy one though. Only a few dedicated trails are "jeep trails", and none are the type you would bring a new truck to unless you like to pinstripe a perfect paint job with branches... Any serious offroad guy is going to have a dedicated trail rig, and then they are usually rolled a few times and welded diffs. It's a cool culture, and the new jeep's have seem to hit on a rhetoric of go anywhere, do anything crowd; from the normal daily driver appliance beaters.
