For a stock 3.2 a good cat bypass and free flow muffler will be be comparable to even a 42mm header/muffler setup at a fraction of the price
The header/muffler will usually have better #s but only at the very top, it will also be lighter and of course you will also need to address the heat implementation.

I want to make sure I understand this, since I've been considering SSIs for my build.
Are you saying that the SSIs don't do much on a stock 3.2 running a cat? I thought they flowed a lot better and were a nice HP bolt-on over the stock exchangers.
