Madcorgi -- yes, bill's previous confirmed (and confirmed in this thread) that the OD (outer diameter) of ssi headers is too small to provide an appreciable improvement over the larger OD stock 3.2 exhaust, especially if a cat bypass/euro premuffler is added to the stock 3.2 exhaust.
Keep in mind that the SSIs are modeled after the 911's stock 2out exhaust which was sized for the original (up to 2.4l) 911 engines and is therefore undersized for a 3.2 or larger.
