@&$*ing #$%@#$%it son of a #$%@^!!!!!
Big event in my life Saturday night.(you may want to take the kids from the room)
Well got about 200 miles on my new used engine and went for a drive. I'm driving trhough the "sticks" and about 30 min. into the drive I hear a semi-soft "POP" I immidiatly pushed the clutch and the brake in and they go to the floof with no resistance. I then use my e-brake to slow down and pull the car off the road shut down the engine and I see thick white smoke pouring from under the hood. I quickly pop the hood and as I'm getting out I see flames coming from under the hood. I open it to see a fire covering the top of the engine.
Called 911 and waited and watched my car burn for 45 min. to an hour for them to arrive and put out my baby!!!
I'm now talking with my mechanic that put in the engine and getting a fire investigator to attempt to figue out what went wrong.
But I don't feel that something like this should "just happen" especcially when I just had the engine installed. He must have done something wrong
I will now carry a fire bottle in my cars from now on.
Hopefully I'll get some pics up.
The fire never got passed the firewall though but the interior is far beyond salvageable because of smoke damage.
Of course I don't have comprehesive just liability.
I'm getting ready for the fight.
