The wife and I were in the quarters last week for the day, a day is enough, and had a great time. Picked up some art around the square saw a number of street performers. Central Groceries is almost direct across from Cafe Du Monde, worth going in, if you have time. There are much better restaurants out away from the quarters but you'll need a car for that. Mothers on Poydras is great but always has a line and only takes cash. Just enjoy the people and scenery. Again, its gonna be hot and humid this weekend. One other thing is to go out to NOLA Motorsport track thats west of the city. Worth going out there to see the sights.
