The WWII museum is a must.. And you cannot go to NOLA and not go to Cafe Du Monde. I wouldnt waste my time going to the hob nob restaurants like Brennans or Antoines or Arnauds, etc... Those are great, but just fancy places.. Youll have a more NOLA experience if you go to Olde Nola Cookery or is sister store - Oceana Grill.. or Masperos and Central grocery.. Acme Oyster house.. etc.. There will be a line... The Famous Door on Bourbon is one of the best hangout bars with live music but there are others, Cats.. etc.. As others have mentioned, youre just a few blocks from St. Charles Street, so definitely hop on a street car and ride a loop around through the garden District.
