Apple and Adobe do that too, they all do.
The last big update for Win 10 took several hours to install on my MIL's computer. I don't know why it took so long. It is a reasonable fast machine with 16 gig of RAM.
Last night we had the board meeting for the region at our house. One of the new board members and a long time friend is Bob. He owns the documented oldest Porsche sold new in the USA. It is a 1952 Speedster. Really cool car. Recently a German was driving through Oklahoma in his 356 and he burned a valve. He stopped at Dumont's the same place Richard takes his car. Thy knew he did not have the time to wait while they rebuilt a head, so the called Bob. He has a set of heads ready to go so he took them down there and negotiated a price. He went in his 52 Speedster. The German is a guru on old 356s and his mouth flew open when he saw the car. He kept asking questions and Bob has the factory letter stating it is the oldest and all the documentation. THe German get on the phone talking German and says OK, Hans Peter, when you get out of the meeting call me. Then he calls the head of the Piech family. A little while later the phone rings and he say her you talk to him. Hans Peter Porsche is on the line, and they discuss the car. Hans Peter say he will email him the cardex for the car and that he has a sister car to this one that was built the same week.
Later Bob receives an offer to sell the car from the German for the Porsche family. Bob called the local dealer and asked if he could order a new 911 GT2RS and they said the one they get is already sold. He said if the deal will match his price, and they add in a new GT2RS he will sell. He is a retired doctor and his wife is a successful commercial real estate broker. They don't need the money and he has a dozen cars now.
Kinda a cool story. Bob is a super nice guy and I hope he keeps the car.
