If you are already at the top of the range, and not paid at the comission, there is little room for more. Unfortunately, the degree seems to be more significant to the salary than the performance. For instance, a bad phD will usually make more than a good engineer...so, if you want a quantum jump in salary, I would recommend getting a higher degree.
