There is a certain level of physical fitness/fight that I want to have that makes me happy.

A perhaps larger portion of womankind are attracted to a happy man, they want to be part of that.

Some combination of what you are happy with and the expectations of who you are after is the goal to aim for.

There is also a smaller portion of womankind that seem to desire/thrive on misery, and a happy man is someone they will vilify. They want a miserable weak man that shares their own hatred for successful and happy people. Since I doubt any of us here desire this sort of woman I would say that internal happiness although not the only goal, it is a mission critical goal to being attractive to womankind.
