Maybe things have changed since 1990, the year I was married, but here is what I remember.

I didn't get married until I was in my mid 30's, the bulk of my single life before HIV, 70's and 80's. There was a lot going on, a lot...I had a number of one-night, two-night stands, short relationships and one outlier, a one year GF to Fiance that I gooned.

The deal is you both know if you are sexually compatible, right away - doesn't have to be fireworks, but the foundation, interest, is set like Quikrete...and it has nothing to do with technique, your gut or aerobic fitness, it just is.

My last three months in San Diego before I transferred to Maryland, a woman who had been a friend of mine for years got divorced. We were, and we both knew it, perfect for each other and her divorce gave us the opportunity to dive deeper into what we both assumed was going to be spectacular.

Except is wasn't. Ours sexual chemistry, regardless of our other connections, was disastrous.

We tried, btw, and talked about it. It was weird but it was real...I moved to Maryland alone but grateful.

So, don't worry about your aerobic fitness...in fact, don't worry about a thing.

Concerning woman in general, I had the best older sister on the planet. She was smart, very good looking and had a bevy of friends of her equal.

She was also willing to share the secrets of the Sisterhood with me with one caveat: I must never share the secrets.

So I got that going for me
