Cleaning out my dad's garage- warning- p-car content.

And so it begins.

I got access to my father's house today to begin the process of cleaning the basement.
I have been allowed to get p-car parts. My dad was quite the packrat, and accumulated a kingdom of rust, but on my first trip was able to get some meaningful and sentimental pieces, most notably his valve adjuster and uni-syn. I've also got some of his early 911 steering wheels. I think I might even see if I can mount one on my SC for the time being. It will look silly, but will mean the world to me- and perhaps lighten the steering feel a little.

Quite frankly, I am overwhelmed, in what will potentially be a long process just to get the items. What I grabbed was what was accessible. There will be much more to come. Mostly rusted beyond comprehension, but a lot of stuff. There will be a lot of big decisions regarding what to sell off versus what to keep. For now, I think can say I won't be rebuilding the 912 engine. There will be much more stuff to come. I was going to try and hold off posting this thread until I had all everything, but after a weekend of tossing around transmissions and such, I figured what the heck. There is a lot of stuff, that I don't even know what some of it is.

I need to stay focused, and realistic. My dad's hoarding genes live on in me.
And no- I'm not selling the torque thrust wheels quite yet. I want to get everything together to see if there is enough for one or two project cars. Until I get the bodies to the house, I won't know where everything will go/ what will get sold, etc.
