My experience,
I don't expect anything from helping.
For every ten you start with, maybe one or two will stick.
Of those that stick, you will make a significant impact on their lives.
Keep doing what you are doing, the right ones will come along.

I will also add,
I call them once,set up a time and place.
If they don't show or follow the rules, I move on.
