Yep. I don't spend tons of time outside, but when I do, I'll usually wear a hat, ofter with a 360°, wide brim.

There are lots of clothes that you can buy that are outdoors specific clothes that offer sun protection. Places like REI will have clothes that offer protection. Also, places that sell clothing for runners or outdoor activities.

We started running 3 months ago. We will be running outside in Houston occasionally, and we are both fair. We just recently bought some very light-weight shirts with long sleeves (and hoods) that offer UV protection for running. Even then, we won't be running midday. We'll stick to morning or evening, and we'll have sunscreen on our faces
