I have used my 10 year old Dewalt 18V cordless drill countless times on many big projects with no issues. Only a few times have I had to go get my 1/2" corded drill to drive large lag bolts into 6x6 beams.
It is almost time to upgrade to the new 20V. My 3 18V batteries aren't holding charges for long, and have less peak power now.
